Two new art exhibits opened Friday, Aug. 4, at Olson-Larsen Galleries and Artisan Gallery 218 in Valley Junction.

Olson-Larsen is showing new work by three artists:
• Rod Massey, from Minneapolis, interprets urban scenes in paint.
• Stephen Metcalf, also from the Midwest, paints non-objective images.
• Brian Roberts teaches in Pella, where he creates stoneware in iconic rural forms.

Now at Artisan Gallery 218: “Iowish,” an exhibition of regional art and featuring painter Mary Kline-Misol’s work, “The Breeds.”
