“The heart-wrenching thing about mental health is that no one is immune,” Suzanne Mineck, president of the Mid-Iowa Health Foundation, told us. “All neighborhoods, all communities and all individuals are either themselves struggling or have someone close to them who is. It is our collective community issue.
“If someone tells you it doesn’t affect them, then I don’t know that they’ve fully been honest with themselves.”
