Enjoy some of Centro’s popular specialties and help the Young Women’s Resource Center (YWRC) at a new fund-raising event Sept. 13. Local celebrities will work with experienced wait staff to serve a prix-fixe dinner at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. seatings. All gratuities benefit the YWRC. The 40 celebrity servers — including Preston Daniels, David and Maddy Maxwell, Sarah Grant, Cynthia Fodor and Robert Brownell — are from business, the arts, health care, government, education, the media and other fields. Suku Radia, CEO and president of Bankers Trust, and Nora Everett, president and CEO of Principal Funds, are chairing the event. Call the YWRC at 244-4901 to make reservations or for more information. The YWRC provides programs and services to young women ages 10-21 that focus on health, relationships, life skills and parenting.
